Yeah that's how jr bridges have always worked. I don't mind feeding em thru behind the pickup there, you get used to that, but I do think the design has its shortcomings. There is A LOT of pressure on those posts to bend, as on the screws in back. On the other hand this design does seem to really get the body singing in a way that a tune o matic and stop tail can only dream about. Paul Reed Smith uses em a lot, so it must have its benefits.
