Relic Didley Duo

The didley on top was a gift from Pick. He seems to think I like old relic stuff. Check out the neck if you can read the lettering on the old paddle. I like it and the burlap bags under the sound holes. I put a different (heavier and lower toned) string on it and changed the tail piece. It has a disc piezo and sounds super good plugged in.Both of these have slot head screws for nuts. That makes it easy to adjust the action and holds the string nicely in place. I think slot head screws would work well for the nuts on 2, 3 and 4 strings. The bottom one: A gift horse in kit form. Pick thought this box suited me and he was right. He was shipping a Swampy to Chris Lyons, who lives 50 miles from me, and sent the box along for me.Chris and I got together and formed a friendship and I got the box. Later, on a visit to my place, Chris brought me the old board that was used for the neck. Hence the Lyons' Pick name. This is a great sounding diddley unplugged. Plugged in it is okay. Not bad. Not great. Disc piezo. The action suits me. I can finger or slide. The old box, the gifts from 2 friends and of course the fact that it plays and sounds nice - puts a smile on this homely old face! Thanks to Pick and Chris.
