Thanks guys. The top is 1/4 inch oak plywood. The neck is scrap pine and the finger board is a lathe. I got a bundle of lathes and a lot of them have pretty grain. They are soft.... Anyway, a true 3/4 inch pine neck laminated (glued up) to a quarter inch lathe is plenty strong.
