  • This guitar was done for the daughter of a co-worker for Christmas. She has a brain tumor and is dependent on chemo therapy to keep it from growing. She is 9 years old and lives a normal live with little or no handicap; full of life and happiness. I wanted to make something that was one of a kind that she would appreciate. This is why the fret dots and bridge are pink acrylic-luster, and the fret board from walnut. These are her favorite colors. The sound hole should hold up with all the detailed fretwork. It only took under an hour to cut it from 1/4" poplar. I expect some of it might break off. I have since perfected the design and made it more sturdy by enlarging and connecting some of the leaves. My co-worker reported that both her and her brother played their guitars all Christmas day and drove them a little crazy since they didnt play with the other toys they had gotten for Christmas. Her brother received one of my other guitars that I posted on here.

  • That's a great looking piece of craftsmanship.Love the fretwork sound hole, not sure about your choice of pink for the fret dots/bridge though.
