back opens up

CBN and real life friend, Kevin Patrick, gifted me this tin and 2 similar ones. It seemed easier and stronger to use the bottom of the tin for the top of the git. And that worked out well.To tell the truth, I was using spare strings (the 543) from a six string set) to string this one up and came up with this easy to play open E that I call Beg Sharp. (BEG#) It can also be tuned to at least two 151 tunings AEA and CGC. This is a SHORT SCALE and you would need short scale to do these tunings with the same 543 strings that I used. I happened to use electric strings. It is too short a scale to tune GDG like those strings would commonly be tuned. The strings are too loose for that tuning. IMO.Little git plays and sounds good. Tone is not high like many canjos. Tone is medium to low.
