Hi; The coins were pesos and yes the box is from Holand I think. I picked it up at a frea market in Yuma I think. Paid about $2 or 3 for it. I hand carved the neck using a curved lino knife and sand paper. I also has electonics put in, a $4. piezo from radio shack. When I built it I had not ever seen any cigar box instruments, and this was done for a friend who plays a $1000. Martin and he wanted the neck as close to the shape and feel of his martin It took me a month to build (between playing jams 3 days a week) and I charged him $200. He was plwased. D
