This started out as a fretless diddley bow. Scrap wood only 1 inch wide for the neck and a pretty box, but I thought the top was too thick to sound good. So, made a quick and easy build. The fret board is even with the box top- I like it to be higher. But it sounded so good it evolved into a fretless 2 string. And a pretty good one, Then it sat unused, I am mostly a 3 string guy.Yesterday it got converted to a fretted 3. It's not great, but even with the narrow one inch neck- it is pretty good!

I want to play it !! Really like the look of this ! Maybe it's that builder history attached to it . I've made a couple of 20 " scale, 1 1/4"" wide necks for two grandkids . I like the 1 1/4" width so much the next 3 stringer I plan to keep will that be that width !! Your one inch neck gives a string spacing close to a standard guitar . Chords seem like they would be easier to make .
Looks good John! I have one of these "Edge" boxes on the work table right now but it's green. Kinda funny that you grabbed the same box to do a redo on. Great minds think alike eh?
