I used flathead screws for the nut and bridge.

  • Here is a tip on how to use the round head common screws.  I was getting a bit of a pinging sound because the screw slot is wider than the string.  If you turn the screw a little off center and allow the string to barely touch one side of the screw on one end and where it barely touches the other side of the screw on the other end, it stops the unwanted noise.   

  • I like that tailpiece bridge arrangement with fret wire and screw.
