Ok. I have a string buzz on the low (thick) string when open and all the way up the neck. The other 2 strings are good and play clean when open and all the way up the neck. I noticed that when I look at the guitar along the length the neck tilts when
Just finishing a License plate guitar for someone and noticed that the pick up magnets do not stick to the plate? I'm going to use the pick up under the plate as to not obscure any of the plate. Hoping the tone and volume will be good. Anyone else ev
I recently built a guitar neck(4 string) that turned out perfect......until I was putting the tuners in the headstock. Well loe and behold my headstock was cut to thin. So, my question is, are there tuners available with shorter stems? Thank you.
Good day everyone. I'm in the process of making a 4 string electric cbg for someone. I have used a bolt with 2 eye bolts for string retention on my 0 fret builds. I find they sometimes bind when tuning. So I have never used the roller type string ret
Hello fellow CBGers, I have made close to 15 CBG's , acoustic, acoustic/electric and electric. I have sold 2 acoustic/electric's(one with preamp), and 2 electrics so far. I havn't done a show/market and really don't want to. 2 were sold a place I wo
Ok. I have wired up the flat humbucker to tone and volume pots. It was a wiring harness so attaching it to the pickup was easy enough. I tested the pickup before soldering and it worked. I soldered the wires and before I put the top on the LPG guitar
Just wondering if I can ground the pickup to my piece of aluminum tailpiece? Oh yes, if it's not a good ground I suppose I could ground the pup to the bolt bridge for this License plate guitar.
On a second note, no pun intended, a bolt bridge on a li
I have just noticed that my tone and volume pot stems that come through the wood lid are too short to install the secure nut onto.(Not enough thread showing). The lid on the CBG is thin. I am quite ticked off that I didn't notice this before. I am su

Some of my necks are a little too thick. I'm trying to save a step here. I use a 1/2" router bit to round over my 3/4" neck but when I add my 1/4" fretboard onto it, it seems too thick. Do you route the neck after you glue the fretboard onto the neck
So I have a request from a musician to make a CBG with a piezo preamp and a single pole magnetic. I cannot figure out how to wire this as the preamp has a input jack already attached as does the magnetic pick up. I am a visual learner so pics or vide
If anyone has used one of these in their builds how did you attach the bridge to the box? Did you glue it? Screw it? Would like to know the best option before attach it to the box thank you.
Hi Gang, I've just ordered a 4 string tele adjustable bridge to install on a CBG I'm building. The problem I am trying to figure out is the strings a fed through the back of the guitar up through the bridge. I don't want the strings to pull through t
