The wide variety; that so many people are capable of building one from the simplest to the most complex; that they sound so real; that it's a nice community of like-minded music lovers on here.
I have this brass saddle rosette that's vintage Civil War. It's 2 1/2 inches wide. It would be nice if it could go flat on the top somehow with the strings going through drilled holes. Or even better, it goes on top of a piece of hardwood in a…

I'm far from being an electrician, so I had to search the internet to figure it out-but I found randomly flickering LEDs at evilmadscientist.com, then bought some with the same amp draw at radio shack, along with a bracket for 3 aaa batteries and a pack of mixed resistors. I had to make each one a separate circuit-there's a word for it, but I can't remember what it is-but I powered it with the 3 AAA's and hooked it to a push button on the front and glued a copper end cap onto it.
After I figured out the proper resistors, it worked on the second try.
I think there are more photos and pics on my Facebook page- M.T. Cigar Box Guitars. Page has been neglected since my son was born, but I try to update it occasionally.
Thanks again!
