Using nails for frets

Hey everyone,

Im using finishing nails as frets or my CBG. I finished my neck with stain and poly. I want to prevent the nails from rusting. Any suggestions? Can I put a coat of poly over the whole neck and frets? I put up some pics of what I did.

cheap but good way to make an electric CBG

What do I need to make an electric CBG? All I have ever played is stricktly acoustic, So I have no idea what is involved in this process. I would like to be inexpensive. All of my builds are done without any power tools. Any ideas?
