Late notice, but hell, I've been really busy. It's that time of year again, and Upton upon Severn throws open it's doors for another  great FREE blues festival.

On Saturday I'll be at the White Lion from around 12.30pm until 5.30pm hosting an open mic session. House band will be ChickenboneBlues, so if you want to come and do a solo spot that's fine, or you can call upon the services of the best musicians around with Al Nicholls on drums, Ken Stratford on upright bass, Freddie Pirotta on keys, and Dave Smith on harp.

Already we have ChiliCool Kev and John Denton's Blues Raiders booked in for showcase sets, and we will also be graced by the presence of the amazing Kevin Brown (around 1.30pm). If you haven't seen Kevin don't miss him...he is the man who taught me pretty much all I know abut playing slide guitar, and he'll be there to amaze you with his skill on the tin can guitar.

In the evening my band will be finishing off the day, with both Dave Smith and Tony Stokes featuring on harmonica.
