Bits and Pieces

Off to a big boot fair in the morning (Sunday) if it doesn't Rain, Sleet or Snow. Well it is the second half of May.

Hopefully will get some more Boxes and other bits  that will be useful. Cigar Boxes are getting few and far between and expensive'. Last Boot Fair produced two great wooden boxes at 50p and and pound.

Had to bin my last attempt this morning. The Cigar Box Lid split and I overplaned the neck til it was too thin.

Started another one this afternoon.

Such is life.

  • I have never found any cigar boxes; I have been using biscuit tins. I recently found an old wooden fishing float box, this is part finished. I have been thinking about using a deep picture frame I have and adding a top and bottom???

  • Replace the lid to save the box, add laminations to the neck or a thick finger board to save that306044213?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024
