I asked this on the yahoo group already, but I thought this would be a good question to have archived on the forum.
Where do you put a piezo pickup on a drain cover resonator guitar? I usually put the piezo under the bridge with a piece of foam rubber to hold it in place. It seems like that would look wierd. I've got small piezos, so I suppose I could hot glue it directly to the bottom of the drain cover and it wouldn't be too noticeable.
I'd just like to hear what other people have done (and what results they've had)

I'm gonna answer my own question now. I epoxied my piezo to the underside of the resonator sort of near the "eye" of the eyebolt where there's no holes (& where it can't be seen). You can see what it sounds like here:
Please forgive the terrible playing. I'd only been playing about a week at this point.
just finished this build, turned out quite well. I fixed the piezo to a point just ahead of the bridge using 3M silicone. put down a layer of silicone and stuck the piezo on and let it dry, then put another layer over the whole thing.
This is the first time I tried a volume control; a standard 250K volume "pot" wired in. Also seems to work very well, no noise, nice progressive action.
So far, quite pleased with this camping-tin resonator; sounds pretty good both plugged in and acoustic. Still need to put on a cover of some sort, but that's just cosmetic. I'll probably just end up making one from aluminum sheet.
