Hey sam, not all those potofinos are created equal, I have some with good wood lids and some with thick composite lids.

Petey,
First of all congrats.. I hope I learn something... you look like a geeeeenus. But, OMG, pleeeeease, in the future send me all you Mac Porto Fino Cafe boxes. They are tooooooo good to be used on anything but a CBG......
hey sam , honestly that was the first cigar box i ever came into possession of . i am really new to this , i have built only one 4 string cbg , it turned out pretty nice . i added a jfet preamp cause it has a piezo for a pu , and then a headphone amp that i got out of a pc speaker .
david i paid 30 for a four pack of the dano pedals , i used 2 so 15 for that , 1.50 for the amp circuit (salvation army kiddie tape deck) , 3 bucks for the delay time pot , the rest of the stuff i had salvaged so . . .19.50 ?
i actually got it working off one p.s. , but it hummed a little depending on where it sat , i could get it quiet by moving it , but . . i am going to try using a filter like in the craig anderton book soon . i will be sure to post up my results if it works well , i hate that problem !
wes , you aint seen nothin yet , wait a few videos till i post the metal amp , that one . . . you dont even want to know .
i will look into that nxt , sounds crazy . the amp board for this one is a kiddie tape deck , happy joy brand (china) .
i am thinking about slapping together a distortion circuit and messing with that . may end up adding it to the xam amp , which will be up next . but i also want to mess around with that slide synth circuit on a bread board . going to make one for a "special" friend . hopefully i will have these videos finished in a week . it takes forever with the editing . we have audio issues with our video editor ...
thanks for watching and thats awesome you took the time to comment .
Great amp, what parts have you used for the circuit boards? I have made 3 amps so far, getting better each time, and all have a diffrent sound/power. Got one small one with 2 x 4 ohm speakers wired in series to make them 8 ohm, plus a switch to switch to a single 8 ohm speaker, amazing the difference, and its portable runs off a 9v battery. The next was not bothering to work out ohmage etc. just build it and surprisingly turn out great, an old circuit from a subwoofer system, a subwoofer with filter, plus a flat nxt speaker I had from another old system I was going to throw away, but not portable runs off the mains. The third is very small 5x4x1 inch, just a small circuit board from some old player I had plus the insides of the other NXT flat speaker I was throwing out, thats why its 1 inch deep, the speaker is the wooden faceplate. Lookup NXT technology amazing, but has no Bass, and thats why amp number two has a subwoofer.
I could be dumping everything and still want a Porto Fino Cafe Macanudo box. Those things are magical... They don't look like much, but just ask Shane......

petey,
you are working in an area that I am clueless. I either have to buy or trade to get anything close to that cool. Thanks for sharing your work...
the best,
