Well I finished my first UKE and took a few pics of my little shop and two others on the bench waiting for some parts. Had a few requests for pics of the cookie tin banjo and so here are a few before strings.
Kevin, your UKE looks great. I was just concerned that the metal tailpiece would cut the nylon strings. I couldn't see how you handled this. I'm trying to finish my first one myself. Thanks for the pics.
Thanks for fixing my pics and I will have to do some tests to get it down. And thanks for the complements. The guy was as happy as a clam when I brought it to him today. I have a feeling that it will sell a few more as it has been the nicest and cleanest one I have made. I ordered 6 sets of turners just in case it did bring in a few orders. I love making them and now find myself needing neck wood. I do have a bunch of Ipe if someone is interested and would like to trade for other wood. I use to make bows out of it but now I have little time for bows. Let me know if you want to trade and if so what you have to trade. I find it a little to heavy for my CBG.
Kevin, if you use the "camera icon" on the editor, you should be able to upload pictures directly from your hard drive, or link to them (e.g., if you have them already in your "photos" section on your profile page). Here they go:
