decided on a name?

Well after almost finishing my first CBG or banjo I have orders for six more and others wanting them as well. I am keeping my first one but I did decided on a name and a logo. I have collected pennies sense I was a small kid and my all time favorite is the Indian Head penny. Soooo..... I am inlaying one in the top of the neck just above the turners. With the Indian side up and I am going to call my creations, "Copper Indian Banjos", I am more than excited about the name and the use of a real penny. Well that is until I run out of them and need more. The fact that they are from the time of the CBG start in history it fits well. Any hoo just thought you might want to know. And to see if the name might be out there already.

  • I'm close to finishing my first CBG and I too have been thinking of similar things. Something cool to put on the headstock. I'm leaning towards 'Bent Staple' as I am a warped individual and drawn to such things that we normally want to throw out.
  • Good name and yep good looking penny and good luck.
  • That's a cool name and a fine idea...hope it goes well for you mate
  • Cool - those pennies will look super bedded in :o) Good work!
  • I like the fact you are keeping your first build Kevin! But I really like the name, too, and the history you have behind it even makes it better.

Now let's see a pic of the penny in the headstock! :-)
