Thanks Kale! You are probably correct; I don’t really know! Maybe all his songs were not protest ones. The lyrics in the form I found them seem pretty positive to me. This one is easy and fun to play and sing.

A little Woody Guthrie on CBG. Nice. I've heard this song was meant to be an anti-government song but the record company changed a couple verse to make it sound patriotic. I'm not sure if that's true or not but anything is possible with ol' Woody.

You’re welcome BrianQ! I would agree. I remember this song from my youth, and it’s a good reminder of, in spite of it all, the blessings of living in America and the freedoms we still enjoy.
