  • Thanks Michael! Plate is mounted directly to top of body on this one. I've seen others recess plate into body though
  • Nice build.got a ? Did or can you cut the lid where the plate goes.Or did you just attach the plate?

  • Mine will mount from the top as well. I am going to try a hand nibbler to cut the holes
  • Could I ask how you cut the plate for the pups? My options are dremel or snips... my pups mount from the top so the hole doesn't need to be perfect!
  • and typing at the same time? Impressive!

  • The sides of the box are about 5/8" thick with 1/4" blocks glued to where the plate mounts. Crazy, I am also winding pickups for 2 more license plate builds!
  • No worries, that's cool. I assume you've got some blocks under the mounting screws?

In my case it's pretty much moot now as I've just finished winding a pickup for it :)

  • Sorry Richey, I don't but I can tell you that it basically just the plate mounted on the box. It is not a neck thru- the tail is attached to the end of the box and the neck extends only about an inch and a half inside.
  • Interesting. Got any mid-construction pics? Inside the box for example?

  • Thanks Richey! This one is easily the loudest and most crisp sounding acoustic build to date, not sure why but it booms!
