Waiting For A Train~ Jimmy RodgersGuitar by my friend DelveroAll around the water tank waitin' for a train.A thousand miles away from home sleepin' in the rain.I walked up to a brakeman to give him a line of talk.He said if you've got money I'll see that you don't walk.I haven't got a nickel not a penny can I show.Get off get off you railroad bum he slammed the boxcar door.He put me off in Texas, a state I dearly love. The wide open spaces all around me the moon and stars above.Nobody seems to want me or lend me a helping hand.I'm on my way from Frisco goin' back to Dixie Land.My pocketbook is empty and my heart is full of pain.I'm a thousand miles away from home waitin' for a train.

What a great train song John, well played and well sung. And the location is spot on perfect, looks like a nice place to pick a tune or just whittle a little something with a favorite pocket knife ;-)
Delvero builds a fine CBG, no if's, and's or but's!
Great Vide John ,Great song to! where do you Find them? realy looks the classic bit, location super duper hobo down the Rail !You N(R)ailed It ! Greeeeeeeetttstszz A.D.
Thanks, Derek. I did later wish for one more string, but keeping things simple seems my forte.
Thanks, Jim. Got the new one done last night and I was quite pleased with it. I hope I still like it today in the light of day. That caboose is usually in a quiet spot, but road construction has a bit of traffic detouring close by. I did 5 takes and had to derail 3 of them due to traffic. Will post the vid within a week.

Steve, that proves it. I never do get the lyrics right! Yup, that was one I did when you were teaching me to play. Many thanks.
You used to use different words in verse 2 back in your store-bought days.
