  • Of course you can Uncle. I just saw your first draft. Wonderful stuff. Watch out folks, it’s reproducing!

  • Dave, can  I try my own take on the song or story?  Might be a whole lot different.

  • I will do Uncle. I usually don’t learn a song this way. I’m singing after the guitar part was recorded. I didn’t realize I would write lyrics for the tune. It’s weird trying it this way. Now i’ll Sing and play it at the same time. Eventually I hope it comes together. I want it to work. I’ve raised a lot of chickens. I love those birds. The idea for the song came from the Chicken clucks and scratch coming from the guitar slide work. I’m trying to make my guitar talk like a chicken.

  • Thanks Bruce. I can’t live without a fireplace. Survival in Northern Minnesota. I shot a Opossum in my hen house and it turned out to have two babies in her pouch. My kids raised those rascals. Cute and hilarious. There’d hang from their tails on the kids fingers. We raised them on eggs. Messy eaters. Yoke everywhere.

  • Man, I absolutely love what you're doing with this song, lyrics, story and setting.  It's real as rain as it is, but I hope you polish up how to sing and praise it and show us the future results.

  • I know that feeling of going out to the chicken coop in the morning and finding out a fox, raccoon, or opossum has been there the night before. It's blues. Again, nice work, Dave.

  • Nice! I love the words and story. I like the fireplace in the background too.
