Trouble in Mind

I wanted to post a video of my new CBG, but spent all day trying to decide on a song. Late in the day I thought of Trouble in Mind, a song I first heard played by Bob Wills.By the time I recorded this I had cut my index finger sliding on the top G string. I'm not using this as an excuse, but my playing is a rather curtailed by having to use a different finger to bar the chords.

  • Do you have a set of tabs for this song?

  • Cheers, Stewy and Andy, your kind words are much appreciated.

  • That was great!...I enjoyed that so much I had too listen again and again.

  • Thanks, Jason.

John - I like the idea of being a ostrich pecker (that just sounded wrong), when you're bombing in front of a tough audience, you could always stick your head in the sand and ignore them.

  • Sounded really good!!!!

  • Flailer!   People in the US call indiscriminate finger style - like I do- chicken picken.   Picture a chicken  pecking for insects.   I think you are clearly above that.   Ostrich pecking maybe.  At least crow.

  • Thanks, Davey!

  • Cheers, Clock! I just checked the definition of flailing, and it made me giggle.

flailing              present participle of flail (Verb)

    Verb:
    1. Wave or swing or cause to wave or swing wildly.
    2. Flounder; struggle uselessly: "I was flailing about in the water".

I think that describes my playing perfectly.

  • Had to hear that again Great sound;-)

  •  Flailing? Frailing! (•‿-)
