VIRTUAL TIP JAR! https://www.musicxray.com/tip_jars/12975Album available here https://bemuzic.bandcamp.com/album/as-i-sing-live-from-the-streets-vol-1This song came about when I was playing my Cigar Box Guitar just before going to bed late one evening.I had a tune but no lyrics and just so I could sing something I started singing the titles of books on the shelf in front of me. Some of them sounded right. The next day I went through the shelves picking out titles that felt right, then put them together with just a few words to join them together to make the song.Although it's mainly made up of book titles it seems to make some kind of sense to me...If you are a fan of Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami or Milan Kundera, you should be able to spot the titles : -)

I'll have to ask her. I was kind of laughing to myself at the time and forgot to ask. To folks like me who are often buried under accumulated stuff it's a strange yet appealing concept.
I should tell you about a friend of mine who's chosen to live a minimalist lifestyle in a 100 sq. ft cabin. I asked if she wanted a book I'd just finished and she said "no, I've already got a book" Oh, she shares that 100 sq. ft. with a cello and a banjo!
