  • Thanks Steve and Derek! Onto the next song...but first I gotta get some problems ironed out with my gits.

  • Super playing Snuffy. I tend to focus on one song at a time myself. They consume you ;)

  • Unca John, that's pretty cool about the ADF# tuning on a GDG git. Nice to know.

  • Thanks, Uncle John. You would not believe how crowded my bedroom was. The neighbors were not happy. Hehehehee....just having fun with my iMovie. If you can't be a rock star, you might as well pretend.

  • PJ Concerto.  Very nice music.  Good playing and an avid, admiring crowd!

Snuffy and Bones,   another cool thing about learning DGB is that you can take a GDG guitar and tune it ADF#  it will chord and pick the same way.   The same string relationships and fingering but a lower tone that sounds good and may or may not fit your voices.

I would not worry about the actual chord coming out, but if you do, count 5 to get the transposed chord.  So if it is a G on DGB count GABCD and it is a D on the ADF.    The DGB C chord becomes a G on ADF (CDEFG).  And the D chord (DEFGA) becomes an A.

A really easy addition to your bag of tricks once you play even the most basic DGB.

  • Thanks Jeff. Glad you're making use of the DGB chart. My reso is out being worked on right now, so I haven't touched DGB in a week or so, but I am looking forward to playing that tuning again. It's a really pretty tuning.

Hey Richard, I'm still around here occasionally. Haven't posted much though. Been working on the above song. It takes me awhile to work out songs. I have a couple of ideas I'm mulling through right now. I've forgotten how to play them though, LOL. That's what happens when you concentrate too long on one song. But I am a completist though. Can't leave anything unfinished. I've got videos of my songs, but what I really need to start doing is getting audio recordings of them. I have the iRig device, but I just get so bogged down in figuring out how to work Garageband, that it takes alot of fun out of playing. Ugh! I wish there was a super easy way to record.

  • A long time no hear Snuffy! Hope all is well, certainly your playing is superbly coming along! Real nice job!

  • Nice pickin I’ve been using the chord chart you put up for DGB tuning having so much fun on my fretted tinjo . Keep up the good work Sunffy .

  • Thanks, Pick! And thank you, James!

T-belly, they aren't PJ's. I swear!! It's a long-sleeved flannel shirt with paisley polka-dots. I bought it at a thrift store years ago. And the pants are those super baggy gym pants from the 1980's, LOL. Believe it or not.

  • good stuff. ;-)
