  • Yup D, the frozen wood splits much easier than warm dry wood. Only thing is, when it’s freezing, i’m In Duluth sitting by my stove. :D)

  • dave, do you have a double sided axe? sharing this for you and others. my brothers and i grew up in the woods. splitting wood was almost daily. so here's a neat tip: when it was freezing once, and the wood was "frozen", just for kicks i sunk the double sided axe into the huge base piece, then we just threw the wood to be split on the top of the axe, and it just split apart. same with the halves and quarters. turned into an assembly line. great fun and easy splitting.

  • Yup Summer is near it’s colorful end D. Hate to see it go but Autumn is lovely. Then things will turn white and cold.
