Old minor key blues by Blind Lemon Jefferson. Done here on a 3 string cigar box guitar and Iowa Saxophone. The song is also known as 'One Kind Favor'.I do this song on 1,3,4 5 and 6 strings. I use a different style on open tunings. Got some harp added this time and playing a relic DGB three for kind of a sparse sound that I think suits the mood.

  • Thanks, Ambrose!

  • Nicely performed Unc J.  Beautiful rendition of a lamentable dirge.

  • Thanks, Ray!  LOL RTZ.

  • Not ready for grave stuff but I now want a Moonpie

  •  Well done! Excellent. You and your music always bring a tap to my feet and a smile to my face, Uncle John. Thank you.

  • Thanks, Doug.  It's a fun and not difficult song with DGB.

Ha, Pick.  Good job.  More power to you.

Thanks, Brian.  Yeah.  Now that I read what you said and listen, the song does have a march thing going.

Fret buzz!  Dave?  I am unfriending you and giving your phone number to a bunch of telemarketers.  You NEED an extended warranty on your car and they can sell it to you.  Just kidding my friend.  I do hear some buzz.  Some me and some the old three.  I just picked it up, looked it over.  String height is good.  For some reason it take a stronger then usual press to fret it.  Gees, I bet those strings are several years old.  It  has a fret gone missing too.  Ha, one I never use.  I may get that fret replaced and try some new strings. Thanks to you.  Will improve the relic.

    Thanks, Kale.  I appreciate it.

  • It's some down home Uncle John right here. This is really good!

  • Your voice is in very fine form Unc. The fret buzz even works on this one.

  • Great job on this one uncle, it really has that old time funeral march vibe to it! High 9’s :)
