    I suspect you are right Uncle John. The Gene Autry version is probably the version I have in my head on this one. The version I heard most while growing up sticks and, therefore, wins the day on all classic Christmas songs.

    Didn't old Gene Autry write this?  Rocking along really nice.  Now that I know your method of barre chords that can be played in any key, I appreciate this even more.
