  Thanks Poorness and Ambrose! It is a fun song and with 2-chords, C and open G, it’s super easy to play. The crazy lyrics make it “cover “worthy” for sure. We do have a good time together. Even more laughter when the song gets away from me! I try to minimize the train wrecks, but when I lead 15+ songs in a row, it does happen.

  Love your comments Uncle John! The Slingers have had more than a few discussions on lyrics of songs we thought we knew the words to! We just laugh!!! The movie 28 Dresses does a great job with the Elton John song Bennie and the Jets in a bar room scene; it’s a riot and a fun movie!

  Though it is a bit late because you are two hours later, you can always join us and play along. We do the easiest songs first. We have some great songs planned for Monday! No risk when playing because we can only see you, not hear you! Not so for me. The group allowed me a do over of Build Me Up Buttercup. It seriously got away from me, the train went off the tracks!!!

  Man, I can sure understand you lyrics well.  I just looked this song up.  Just a blues rocked up a bit.  'Young man's rhythm'-  I always thought it they were singing 'jug band rhythm'.  Of course I thought 3 dog night was saying 'I'm a toad in a cup', instead of 'Momma told me to come.'
