    A Uke is a Uke is a Uke regardless it's a very good song played real nice. I don't know if it's still a Uke with steel strings.   Nylon rez.? Ditto on the TVZT we don't have a Uke song yet. Or a gourd stik.

    thanks for  watchin guys....i got this Republic Uke 2 years ago, and its a strange thing to play...the nylon string/resonator set up isnt as responsive as i would like...you kind of have to BaNG on it to get volume ..but i would prefer something that can be played lightly and still has that nice reso sound...steel strings?or is it impossible to get a good reso  sound on such a small instrument?  i was thinking of trying steel  strings on it, but dont want to stress the neck ...if anyone has any thoughts, i appreciate it...
