This isn't a homemade drum set per se (although the cajon was built from a kit) but I figured the concept would be appreciated here. Throw a bunch of mismatched percussion items together and you've got a basic drum set. :-)

I got tired watching you hustle through the set-up Kale! I thought everything sounded pretty good and you were keeping steady time (which is the most important thing)! Fun video.
Maybe you could throw some efx in the mix on your next drum video? some good ol’ experimental Drum synth could hit the spot! Forgot to add, Cajon sounds amazingly solid, great build!! :D

Thanks Doug. Drum sets are a lot of fun.

I did a video a while back on adding a kick pedal to a cajon so you can play them both at the same time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAPzTVphRuA
Kool kit, Kale. I have a pretty good home made cajon. I just need someone to play it when I do guitar.

Indeed. It's super to see what you can do with just a kick, snare, and ride. :-)
Yea, I think smaller stripped down kits are the best!
Thanks BrianQ. A drum set is definitely a lot of fun and those vintage kits are really cool.
Kool, I have Slingerland & Ludwig cocktail kits from the 40’s in my collection, seeing this video reminded me how fun they are :)
