Just posted this to show a different style of playing for a fretless monster.Part banjo, part dobro, part guitar. A cookie tin body with a poplar wood neck.Four stings tuned to G-B-D-g with a Piezo Transducer taped inside.Real mountain banjos tended to use animal skin for the drum head. However I find that a cookie tin body works just fine for what I do.Normally I would have this thing tuned to something like E-B-E-b or D-G-B-d. But I do like this G-B-D-g open G tuning a lot

  • Nice tone, great playin'!
  • Great sound...great playing!!!
  • The string are lite gauge electric guitar strings. It's loud because I go a Piezo Transducer taped inside of it. I have to be careful with the amp settings to avoid too much feedback.
  • Wow, Mark. What surprising bassy, bluesy tone and your always good playing. I always want to learn something from your videos. What strings are you using?
  • Well done all the way around!
  • Nice riff, and a good growly tone.
