old blues on a Chris Lyons NightHawk Rez-Dog Guitar tuned AEA.This is 95% a Chris Lyons build and about 5% by me. This git has an abundance of mojo, but not swamp or bayou mojo. It is circa 1895 American old west cowboy and Indian mojo and heavy on the Indian part.It has 'Rez Dog' wood burned into the back. It looks and feels like a git put together by a young guy on an Indian reservation back in the late 19th century through, well, maybe clear up to present times.Chris was not satisfied with his artwork and gifted it to me in an unfinished state.. Linda and I think it's great – and more so now that it is strung up and getting played.It is light in weight and the offset neck is comfortable. There is a hole for a pickup, but I did not have anything to use there and stuck in the picture of CBG skeleton guy. I added a disc piezo hot melt glue sandwiched to the lower right top. I could possibly get a flat pickup at a later time and use it – but the piezo is a good one with minimal feedback and good tone and volume.Chris would likely have used his eye bolt tuners, but I opted for what I used. Now I wonder if I should have used black.It is a player.
