Thanks Uncle John, AGP, and Brian! A popular and fun song for sure. Clearly a bunch of very talented musicians have preceded us.
Stick In or Stick Out? Good question AGP! I don’t know the definitive answer answer, but what I do know is: it’s a much easier build (I’m lazy!), I have gotten the loudest and best tone on my builds (the bottoms of cigar boxes are usually thinner), and the unique look has grown on me.
Another good choice of songs, and nice to see a couple of Old Crow Style Gits, sometimes makes me wonder which is the better sound, a Stick in a Box, or a Stick on a Box ;-D

Yup, on the great song. Everybody from Led- Belly to CCR to the slingers and my fave version by Willie Watson.
I agree Kale! Lots of ways to do it and lots of variations on the lyrics too. I guess the song lends it self to personalization.
Such a great song. It can be done fast, slow, folk, country, blues, even on a chugger. It just always works.
