Thanks for the looks, likes and comments on a non cbg video, guys. I think this is something we could do. I an not big into knives, but I would like to do this and have one decent knife I can say I 'made'.

I have a friend who makes a living, making knives from old files. It’s usually the 1st medium for beginners since it’s hard already & easily found?

Like they all say ,gloves,eyeprotection, blade spark cover ,new hsss drills for the handle holes, it looks like a sturdy BOWIE , some fine playing to go whit the DYI vid , oyea a fire extinguisher ! just in case of ? and there are other junk metals that will do the job aswell !

Last summer I was helping a friend clean out a barn. I think 2 rusty bastard files went into a dumpster. Wish I had saved them. :(

Really cool! Nice diy. Nice edge grinder. I’ve got one for pottery. I’d cut myself good trying to make one. Lots of good tips for shaping metal. I need good eye protection.

Nice looking Blade would be fun to make one to add to My Collection
