First try-out with this new lapsteel. I haven't owned or played lapsteel for a couple of years, so this is a real incentive to get playing again and to properly learn how to handle it....here's a dodgy cut-down version of Santo and Johnny's "Sleepwalk"

Congrats on owning such a nice instrument... Happy Birthday, I do hope that you will continue to post videos playing this instrument. I love that song and I clearly remember how impressed I was when you did the video playing it on cigar box guitar.... Thank you for posting this... I had to share it on my facebook page....

Great stuff! I know how stoked you are with this John and it couldnt have gone to a better home.
Feel sorry for the guys with guitars on order though.... there'll be no work done in the chickenhouse this week!

I can see you have a nice touch for it, beautiful steel too, if you don't keep after this you're missing the boat. I have no doubt with this intrument in you possesion you'll probably continue-again beautiful sound. The only limits for lap style playing are in your mind.

Glad you managed to aquire it mate as you said it's good to still have it in the Family - i could not think of a nicer guy to own it i know you fell in love with it the first time you saw it at the Haydock Park Guitar show
