There must be better ways to do this! But this is what this electronics dunce figured out after seeing a harp microphone.Parts: small speaker: approx 1-2 inches. 1/4 inch jack, container: beer can, pop can, medicine bottle etc.Instructions: wire 2 leads on speaker to 2 leads on jack, solder. put in container. hook up to amp with a guitar cable.Play your harp.Kids: soldering irons are HOT.

  • Thanks David.  I made a new one in a pvc pipe using a cb radio mic element.  Works great.

  • Just saw the vid Uncle way kool you posted that. I tried that a while back with not too much luck. I think now after watching your vid I'll give it another shot. My prob might have been using original wires.. Thanks.......... Dave

  • Thanks John Maw.  The most basic blues harp is pretty easy and there is a lot of instruction on youtube.  I am slowly trying to progress beyond the most basic.   That was blues harp style here in the vid.

There is also straight harp or melody harp where you play the melody.  I do better at that style.  Harp is fun.

  • Great idea and thanks for sharing. Now all I need is a harmonica (and some talent).

  • I started my first one using an old rotary telephone element, it has a sound like an old 30`s radio

  • Thanks folks.   I might make another and keep it smaller to cup in my hand and do some hand stuff with the harp-

    hand vibrato and wahs.

  • got all that UJ!  ...problem is i need to learn harp - good idea for a tuition vid too but longer than 52 secs.! (-:
