Ha! Nicely done, Justin. I thought the Shopsmith was revving way too high as well, but then it seemed like you sped it up partway in! Guess it makes the winding operation go a lot quicker, but with 42AWG wire, I'd be scared spitless! Thanks for sharing your process, man! My 'real' job is dealing in magnets, so I do plan to try my hand at making some pickups some day.....

I have not been very interested in making my own pickup and this is pretty much the first how to video I have watched. Interesting and doable. But, man that thing spins too fast! I've heard about the wax / potting thing. That was interesting too. Thanks.
