  • Thanks Jim, I had not heard this song in song time. I was looking to do Angel Eye but this fit the 4 string much better.

  • Whoa! I missed this the first time around too. Great  version of a great song. Respect to Jeff Healey and also Steve Cropper who gave us so many memorable licks like the opening of "I'm a Soul Man" (play it Steve)

  • Thanks Richey, I posted it on the weekend and it went off the front page quick. I think the vid hurt this song live and learn.

  • Somehow missed this one. I'm new to the song, but what a song. Great performance too mate.

  • It's too cool you know that. I tried to play that way a few times its like fretting a dulci with 6 strings.

  • he started  out    on a slide  ..  very  early  ..  till    the school for the     blind , a half  hour  from me     taught  him  standard  tuning  .   when  asked    why   he does  not use a   slide now   ..  he  says  he'd  rather   "rock it"  , that  be "tropic".  lol.

ps  .. ever  see  him play  the trumpet  ?      he does  that  just as well.

  • Thanks James, It's so worth the time to do a songs that we might not hear anymore, and remember them and the people who wrote and sang them.

pick I don't think I ever saw Jeff play slide do you know if he did.?

  • no  doubt   james  ..   you  got  his    playing styel  ;-)

  • very good music !!! great job, !!! i'm a Jeff healey fan too

  • Thanks Nancy, It is such a good song. I have a rule about writing song that are too revealing but not on singing them. Jeff did this song and Angel Eyes which was written by John Hiatt that just tug on the heart strings. I am a fool for broken heart and lonely songs.

Thanks again Sammy that means a lot to me. Cheers.

Thanks for digging this song up folks .
