Nothing special. This was just a simple way to make a lo fi microphone. You can probably make one with things you already have. I demo it a few different ways.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to make a repeatable build anyone could do without having to buy a bunch of parts. Using the stuff in this video, pretty much anyone can make one for about $5 or so.
