Its 12" scale length, that is an actual cigarette pack, just hardened with resin.
And I wouldn't know about it being hard to play such a short scale - it was the first fretless guitar I ever really held, let alone played, unless you count a few times over the course of a month teaching myself violin (badly) that I held it like a guitar just trying to get the left hand stuff sorted..
I had no problem adapting to the next one I built with a ~24-25" scale (didn't measure it or bother with fret markers...)
And this isn't my basement. I was actually just sitting around at my job during a break when I filmed. Love this place, would rather be building guitars though.

If that is a full sized git, you are a giant of a man. Pretty good. Hard to play such a short scale. Pretty cool basement rec room.
