  • Hey there love your builds and playing. That tone is lovely. - you say your gourd is uk grown,  where do you get uk gourds? Am right now planning to convert a biscuit tin 3 string to a 5 string banjo but have a gourd banjo (or kora!) in my future fantasy list. Not many calabashes in my part of town.

  • Very cool,sounds good!!!

  • authentikal and such

  • Only genuine play...very very nice...°<[:-) [---]==={...

  • Oh yes, it has to be done...while your on Johnny I found in my loft a 6 string banjo that I got in Belfast a few years ago , the sound has never been right that's how it ended up there, I spoke with Chickenbone and we both agreed it has the wrong strings on it..quite heavy Martin acoustic, What would be the best gauge strings for a 6 string banjo in you opinion, I was thinking light steel 11.14.18.24.34.42 ??
