  very nice sound, im tryin a similar project btw i think a thin crystal glass may sound even better

  Silent Jim, I'll shoot a short segment. Yep, the vase is the "box". Not an acoustic, but amped the glass gives it a nice tone. The teak saddle has a rod piezo and "floats" on the vase.
