I’ll trust your judgment on that Uncle John! It could be a fun song for the gang; I will check with them first. You are always welcome to join us one of these Monday nights!
Thanks Uncle John! We will try to keep our song choices interesting. As for your song suggestion, it’s a new one which I am listening to right now on YouTube, definitely colorful and off the beaten track. In the “can do” category!
If you are willing to join the Slingers for a Zoom meeting, I will learn this song and we will lead off with it! The ball is in your court.
Yup.. Great and ear-wormy song done very well. Sounding good Slingers and you keep choosing interesting songs. I like old Ricky Nelson. I kind of grew up with him. I bet he'd be late 70s if he was still alive.
There used to be jams in Shelby, Iowa and the jam leader would once in a while sing on request 'I Just Don't Look Good Naked Anymore'. I am not a slinger, so I can't suggest that one.
That is cool Brian! I recently got a small stack of 45s that my Mom pulled down from the attic. Reviewing the titles was a trip down memory lane. Ah, those were the days. Playing 45s on my clam shell record player!
Your welcome Brian and thanks t-belly! It is a sticky one, isn’t it; makes it a smart choice. The lyrics are definitely autobiographical and reflective.

I am going to avoid doing that song, Doug. I think I still look good! ;)
Do it at your own risk, but you might have fun and create some fun for others.

Glad to hear it Kale! It’s a great personal ballad, it’s hard not to get drawn in. Recently changed the key of this one to make it easier to sing.
