BANJO BUILD-OFF I built this banjo and recorded this video back in the spring, so please disregard if not allowed for the contest. Build photos are included at the end of the video. Goatskin head. One piece walnut neck with stacked heel/dowel. The gourd is of unknown age, yard sale find. I turned the pegs, built the bridge and tailpiece. Cow leg bone nut and bridge-cap. Fishing line strings. The head is pinned with Walmart furniture tacks and Tight-Bond glue. At the end of the video you can see the back of the banjo, there is a circle of lighter wood. This is a piece of the inner strip of a Padron cigar box. covers up a screw.
