Say, when you say "short scale" how short is short? 17" is my guess but maybe it is smaller?

Thanks for the kind comments. Nylon strings for banjos arent all that common but they do have a nice vintage tone. Originally they would have been cat gut. A company called Aquila make "Nylgut" - Nylon strings with the properties of cat gut, great, deep melow sound for fretless but they dont last too long with fretted.

Everybody should learn clawhammer!!! :-D

I didn't even know they made nylon strings for banjo - or that your innovation. I like the way they mellow out the tin's tone.
