Lights under the fretboard. When you put the steel across 2 strings it turns on the lights.It's a strip of LEDs I got at autozone.It comes with a battery box full of watch batteries but it is meant for 12 volts in your car.

    Wow, that's fabulous! I just love it and that it is triggered by the slide bar. Super idea. I like the grommets too. They highlight the lights. Now i just have to try one too. Thanks for the inspiration. A light bulb moment one might say... Christmas and all...

    nice one lowe. good idea with the tunner bushings too. that would be great to take on my next campin trip.
