In this video, i demonstrate a cigar box diddly bow inspired by the C. B. Gitty kit (yay). My version is a humble variation. The wood dowel is 5/8 inch diameter. I use a wood dowel for the bridge, a screw eye for the guide screw/nut, a wood screw to tie the string at the foot end, a tuner consisting of an eye bolt, two washers, a nut and a wing nut, and a string consisting of packaging twine. I thought to add fret lines and dots but then decided i would just play by "feel." This instrument may not sing and howl the way diddly bows with guitar strings do but I think this one holds its own.
