  Richey that sounds great!  I just finished a license plate guitar and posted it today.  Wish I could get you to play it for me!  I'm much more of a power chord-slam-thrash-oops-missed-that-note-need-more-distortion kind of player.

  Thanks very much Capo Kid and Glenn. I wind the pickups using a hand cranked drill clamped to a desk.1 turn of the handle is about 4 turns of the bobbin, just spin the handle 2000 times and you have 8000 winds :-) It's easier than it sounds.

  Richey, that git looks and sounds in the 9s on a ten point scale for license plate guitars.  They seldom of never sound great acoustic.   Nice playing too.

   

  Consider calling that guitar Steamboat after the bucking horse.  He was one of the rodeo greats and reputedly gentle unless you tried to saddle and ride him.  I see you did manage the saddle!
