Happy days Uncle John! You are spot on. Glad you liked it.
This is one of Richie Cunningham's faves! I like it too.
I agree Alan! I enjoyed learning this one. I knew the verses reasonably well, but needed work on the chorus (YouTube to the rescue). You think you know it until you try to play it and reality sets in. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the interest Kale! This is my second attempt a a double neck and I consider this one a success. The shorter 23” scale length necks make it less unwieldy, but there is an adjustment. I have been experimenting with strap settings when playing it standing; it does make a difference in being able to play both necks. Seated is a whole new challenge; upper neck is the challenge, lower neck feels normal. I haven’t tried switching necks mid song, but that may come at some point (with serious practice) if it will serve the song. It’s nice to have a choice whether to go bright (steel) or mellow (fishing line) for a given song.
Yep!, Slingers, Luv the Old Classics, and they don't come much more classic than this one :-)
Love it Doug. Tell me more about that git.
