  • Dave, you have an efficiency in your building I admire. And a plan. I often cut and design as I go along, my end result is fairly concrete, from there it's glue and wait.......part 2 waiting....

  • 1173577574?profile=RESIZE_710xQuiet artist at work!!!! Fun to watch Dave! Meowow^..^

  • I hope it does help AGP. It’s the teacher in me that likes to do these demos. One can see you don’t need much skill or fancy tools to make good instruments. Just a makers habit.

  • Good timing Dave, I can see this series of vids will help me in my upcoming Dave Lynas type 2 string Bass build immensely, already have the Cello strings, just need to find the time to do the build, along with a few other build ideas that are always running through my overactive CBG builds to do head!

    :-D

  • Sounds good Andries. Keep warm. It’s below freezing in my workshop. Winter has dug in in old Duluth, USA

  • yep ! about the same stage! got the neck in shape now ,and its glueing time! the fretboard, the support pieces in the box, thinking on a old copper piece for the inner cone, and gone do work on the paint lid, shape it up and put sound holes in it !  are gone do one or two slits?
